SKODA hackathon challenge is focused on creating a web-based platform named OptiEnergy, aimed at transforming how users manage their energy consumption, integrating renewable energy sources, electric vehicles, and various energy-efficient devices into their everyday lives. The platform seeks to empower users with the ability to optimize their energy usage through actionable insights, clear calculations, and easily accessible information, thereby enabling them to make well-informed decisions regarding their energy use and investments. The envisioned solution should adopt a holistic approach that emphasizes sustainability, ease of use, and the capacity to scale.

Participants are tasked with designing a solution that includes a scalable and flexible architecture capable of supporting a wide range of energy-efficient technologies, alongside algorithms that facilitate calculations regarding returns on investment, energy savings, and environmental impacts using publicly available data. The challenge also calls for the creation of an intuitive and accessible application interface that caters to users with varying levels of expertise, and a framework that ensures the seamless integration of renewable energy sources and devices. The judging criteria will focus on the innovation, usability, sustainability, and scalability of the proposed solution. Final deliverables include a comprehensive presentation of the solution concept, detailed documentation of the development process, and design mockups showcasing the application’s user interface and interactions, aiming to pave the way toward a sustainable and energy-efficient future.
